India: Chewang Norphel builds artificial glaciers in fighting global warming

Chewang Norphel is an Indian engineer retired as Civil Engineer at the Rural Development Department of Jammu and Kashmir in Ladakh (Map embedded at the bottom section). He started his early works on building glaciers in 1995. Up to this second he already built 12 new glaciers making him famously known as '"Iceman of Ladakh".

His efforts, finally, recognized by The Prime Minister of India (Dr Manmohan Singh) on 28 October 2009 and has had been given £16,000 to build up new artificial man made 5 glaciers which is locally known as zings.

He is the one should be accolade with Nobel Prize as a Nobelist in global warming category. He is a 'human' people who do more works than talking as results already spoken itself. He is preparing videos (CDs) on how to build up an artificial glacier (zing) for others to follow before he die, he said.
